after a lengthy and intensive consultation involving many
cities and communities like Rotherham. Our Government is clearly
committed to ensuring that the public and workplace are protected
from the dangers of secondhand smoke.

In Rotherham, the process of going smokefree has
been driven by Smokefree Rotherham, a partnership of voluntary
and statutory organisations working towards making more smokefree
work and public places.
National surveys provide overwhelming support for
